Imbroglio String Quartet
Travis plays the role of 1st violin in the Imbroglio String Quartet which was formed in January of 2001 to explore ideas for openly composed, experimental and improvised musics. Since its inception, the quartet has prepared a wide array of performances, recorded soundtracks for film and theatre, collaborated with talented artists such as John Butcher, Olivia Block and Bill Meadows. The quartet has premiered new works by many composers and their music has been presented by Epistrophy Arts, Austin New Music Co-op, Cinematexas, Austin Museum of Digital Art and Seamus electronic music conference.
